First Wedding of the Year

Ann & Andy's wedding was the first of 2006 for us. It was a pleasure photographing for them because their families were very kind. My sister helped me out for the first time for this wedding. She is a natural! She was testing out the D2X for me and although I didn't really like the color the camera was outputting, she still managed to take some very nice shots. What I liked best about this wedding was the food. It was nice that it was different than most weddings, it was Chinese food. Some of the dishes were very spicy but still good!

I like this first picture because it was taken from an angle we normally are not able to shoot from. A lot of churches will only allow you to shoot from the very back on a tripod with no flash. This church and minister was very open to us positioning ourselves wherever we wanted to be. I also like the glowing ethereal nature of this photo. I just love it when the veil is glowing. I think the minister is laughing in this one. He was very nice. I think he knew the couple from Tai Kwon Do. I asked them to do a TKD move during one of the group photos. We did a ton of group photos but it went really fast because all of the family and friends knew how to fall right into place.
